Healthy Simplicity - Friday File

It’s Valentines and everyone is talking about love. Here are three articles about real love – not shades of love. Can I just say I’ll be so glad when all the hype about “50 Shades of Gray” goes away. It’s not true love. These posts address the meaning of true love and how to preserve love in your marriage.

This looks interesting, and if I can ever get the time to myself for a bath I think I’ll try it.

A Difficult Drawing Assignment

This has been a pet peeve for me for a long time – the way the world treats men like they’re idiots. This is a well-written article addressing this issue.

All Men Are Buffoons?

Finally, here is a Pinterest project that I’m committing to doing this week. I figure I need to start making myself accountable to someone to get some of the projects I’ve pinned finished. ☺

Woven Rag Rug

Did you read anything interesting on the internet this week? Do you have any projects you plan on doing this week?

WOW – you are ambitious with the rag rug – let me know how it goes 🙂

We need to remind our husbands of how wonderful they are – how special they are in our life – and how much y we actually look up to them.
A marriage is not 50-50. We all have our strengths and weaknesses and we both need to give 100% of the time all the time 🙂

One reason I have them draw/color while we read is to get some “art time” in. I’m going to suggest they all draw some specific thing to improve their skills :). Today they were drawing pics for a missionary family and they kept asking what the kids liked. I said it doesn’t matter – draw what YOU like to do and write about YOU and then maybe they will write you back and tell you what THEY like ;). Incidentally, Genevieve has become penpals with Geno’s middle daughter (they have the same line up as us), Lauren 🙂

WOW – great article on baths – I too am loving my baths that happen at least 2x per week. I’m going to try this as Pierre is always looking for ways to get my hair thicker :). The girls have issues with dandruff so I might have them try this, too.

    Thanks for sharing!

I’m glad you enjoyed so much. I started the rag rug today. It’s going well. I should be able to finish it tomorrow in nap time. I’ll take pictures – knew you would ask. 😉
