1. What a lovely tribute to your Mom and Dad! My parents will be married for 55 yrs in October. We just celebrated their 50th! Where does the time go?! It’s lovely to meet you. I live in Windsor. I was born and grew up in the Guelph area. My husband is totally into Creationism as well. (Yes, I read your family page). It’s nice to meet another Canadian and especially a Christian. Thank you for visiting my blog. Also, I’ve shared some of the hymns that you have shared at the women’s centre where I volunteer. I have a Tab on my blog called, Talk on Tuesday. New follower! Blessings, Diane

Okay, so I’ll admit, you totally made me cry. I am so proud of them and the truth is they have been a great example to all of us of what it takes to make a marriage work in good times and bad.

I was SURE I commented on this but then I was on my phone and my phone is only as smart as the person using it LOL.
Perseverance in a marriage is the only way to make a rich marriage, richer. I have been so happy to have married my best friend and through the tough times, we KNEW it was GOD that brought us together so we needed to work things out and stick to our marriage vows. I believe God honored our hearts’ desire and we have the most amazing marriage today thanks to HIM. He taught us to put Him first and to “follow our hearts” (JUST KIDDING – Pierre HATES that phrase lol). I think having parents that took us to church every week helped us tremendously as we knew that they were putting God first as should we :).
