We’ve had a good week. My husband and I started the week with our 18th anniversary on Sunday. My husband had the week off, and we enjoyed lots of family time. On Thursday my husband took me to Ikea. I love wandering around Ikea and getting ideas. We bought some curtains and a lamp that we needed.
I needed this reminder of chickpeas for a snack. It seems like my children want to eat all. the. time. I need more ideas of nutritious and filling snacks (emphasis on the filling ☺)
Here in Canada we’ve had Thanksgiving already. This year I tried something new..something I learned from Laura at Heavenly Homemakers. I made the mashed potatoes right after breakfast, put them in the crockpot until we were ready to eat, and they were fantastic. Very simple, and I will always do this from nowon for holiday meals.
These cookies look so good. I may have to make them this weekend.
This is a really neat article about homemaking in past times.
This article is very thought provoking about how being a lady is more than just dressing modestly.
This article is another one for thinking about – our children are having too much screen time. And if it’s bad for the little ones, it’s bad for the big ones too. We’re trying to cut back.
How was your week? Did you have anything to celebrate?
