1. Every year for Christmas, I make my mother-in-law a Shutterfly book filled with pictures of my kids from the past year. She doesn’t have anywhere to display photos, really, or lots of storage room, so one small 8×8 book filled with photos works super well for her. I do enjoy making the books, though I tend to leave it until the last minute and not have as much fun with it as I could if I took my time with it.

    • That’s a fantastic gift, and you’re right – they ARE economical for space. We used to have a friend (she’s in heaven now) who took pictures of our children before church on a regular basis. Once a year she would put all the pictures on a CD for me. I treasure those. I’m so happy I live in modern times, and pictures are so easy to take and preserve.
