This is one of the songs that we sang in church yesterday – All That Thrills My Soul by Thoro Harris.
The words really spoke to me since I have been experiencing a closer walk with the Lord since my husband’s death. I know that He alone can cheer me sometimes, and I am learning to love Him more.
I think about His love for us in the plan of redemption. This is something we can never fully comprehend – how that God loved us in spite of our sin and lovingly made a plan for us to be saved.
Over and over in the past few months I have seen the Lord providing for our needs: spiritual, physical, financial, emotional. Sometimes I am overwhelmed at the care He has given us.
And then someday we will be able to praise Him forever. I can’t even imagine!
Who can cheer the heart like Jesus
By His presence all divine
True and tender, pure and precious
O, how blest to call Him mine
All that thrills my soul is Jesus
He is more than life to me
And the fairest of ten thousand
In my blessed Lord I see
Love of Christ so freely given
Grace of God beyond degree
Mercy higher than the heavens
Deeper than the deepest sea
What a wonderful redemption
Never can a mortal know
How my sin, though red like crimson
Can be whiter than the snow
Every need His hand supplying
Every good in Him I see
On His strength divine relying
He is all in all to me
By the crystal flowing river
With the ransomed I will sing
And forever and forever
Praise and glorify the King
